Otel işletmelerinde çalışma yaşam kalitesinin iş performansına etkisinde yönetici desteğinin rolü

Abstract

Bu araştırmada çalışma yaşam kalitesi ile iş performansı arasındaki ilişkide yönetici desteğinin rolünün açıklanması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın amacı doğrultusunda Nevşehir'de bulunan 4 ve 5 yıldızlı otel işletmelerinde çalışmakta olan çalışanların, çalışma yaşam kalitesi, yönetici desteği ve iş performansı düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya çıkarmak hedeflenmiştir. Araştırmada çalışma yaşam kalitesi bağımsız değişken, iş performansı bağımlı değişken olup, yönetici desteği düzenleyici değişkendir. Araştırmada anket veri toplama tekniği kullanılmıştır. Veri toplamada, çalışma yaşam kalitesi, iş performansı ve yönetici desteğini ölçmek için geçerliliği ve güvenilirliği daha önceden kanıtlanmış ölçeklerden faydalanılmıştır. Veriler olasılığa dayalı olmayan örnekleme yöntemlerinden olan yargısal (kasti), amaca dayalı örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular Nevşehir'de faaliyet gösteren 4 ve 5 yıldızlı otel ve bu otel işletmelerindeki çalışanlarla sınırlıdır. Araştırmada verilerin analizinde, istatistik programı ile merkezi eğilim ölçüleri, korelasyon ve bootstrap tekniği gibi istatistiksel analiz yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Yapılan istatistiksel analizler sonucu elde edilen bulgular; otel çalışanlarının çalışma yaşam kalitesinin iş performansını etkilediği ve bu ilişkide yönetici desteğinin düzenleyici rolünün olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

In this study, it is aimed to explain the role of supervisor support in the relationship between quality of working life and job performance. In line with the aim of the study, it is aimed to reveal the relationship between quality of working life, supervisor support and job performance levels of the employees working in four and five star hotel enterprises in Nevşehir. In the research part of this study, quality of working life was independent variable, job performance were dependent variables, supervisor support was moderating variable. Survey data collection technique was used in the study. The scales whose validity and reliability have been proven were used in data collection for quality of work life, job performance and supervisor support. Data were obtained by using judgemental, purposive based sampling method which is not one of the probabilistic sampling methods. Findings obtained in the study are limited to employees in four and five star hotel enterprises and this hotel enterprises employees in Nevşehir. In the analysis of the data, statistical analysis programs, and statistical analysis methods such as nd central tendency measures, correlation and bootstrap technique were used. According to findings as result of statistical analysis; it has been determined that the quality of working life of the hotel employees affects the job performance and the supervisor support has a regulatory role in this relationship.
