Sürdürülebilir turizm kapsamında Kapadokya bölgesi’nde cross golf uygulamaları

Abstract

Günümüzde turizm endüstrisi klasik turizm anlayışından uzaklaşarak farklı arayışlara girmiştir. Bunun nedeni şüphesiz klasik turizm anlayışının sürdürülebilir olmaması, sınırlı kaynakların doğru kullanılmaması ve turistlerin çevre konusunda bilinçlenmesidir. Bu nedenle yürütülen turizm faaliyetlerinin sürdürülebilirlik anlayışı ile yürütülmesi gerekmektedir. Dünya turizm pazarında her geçen gün payı büyüyen golf turizmine yönelik olumsuz eleştiriler yer almaktadır. Bunların geneli sürdürülebilir bir turizm anlayışına sahip olmadığı yönündedir. Golf turizminin faaliyetlerinin yürütülebilmesinde çevre önemli bir unsurdur. Çevreye daha duyarlı bir golf çeşidi olarak cross golf, Kapadokya Bölgesi’nde yürütülmektedir. Buradan hareketle çalışmada, sürdürülebilir golf turizminin geliştirilebilmesi için Kapadokya’da yürütülen cross golf uygulamasının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma, dünya pazarına nazaran Türkiye’de niş bir pazar konumunda olan golf turizminin gelişiminde çevreye uyumlu olabilmesi için öneriler de sunmuştur. Çevre ile iç içe geçmiş golf turizminin bahsedilen önerileri uygulaması ile daha sürdürülebilir olacağı bir gerçektir.

Today, the tourism industry has moved away from the classic concept of tourism has entered into different pursuits. The reason is undoubtedly the fact that classical tourism understanding is not sustainable, limited resources are not used correctly and tourists are conscious about the environment. For this reason, tourism facilities should be carried out with an sense of sustainability. There are negative criticisms towards golf tourism, whose share is growing day by day in the world tourism market. Generally, golf tourism does not have a sustainable tourism sense. Environment is an important factor in the conduct of golf tourism facilities. As a more environmentally friendly type of golf, cross golf is carried out in the Cappadocia Region. From this point of view, the study aims to examine the cross golf practice carried out in Cappadocia in order to develop sustainable golf tourism. The study has also presented suggestion in order to be compatible with the environment in the development of golf tourism in the world market than a niche market position in Turkey. It is a fact that golf tourism intertwined with the environment will be more sustainable with the implementation of the mentioned suggestions.
