Bir kent tarihi incelemesi: Arşiv belgelerinde Nevşehir (1960-1970)

Abstract

Çalışmamızda 1960-1970 yılları arasında Cumhuriyet Arşivi’nde Nevşehir ile ilgili sosyal, ekonomik ve siyasi konular incelenmiştir. Konumuzu kapsayan yıllarda il genelinde yaşanan ve devlet makamlarına yansımış gelişmelerin ortaya çıkarılması temel savımız olmuştur. Arşiv belgelerinde yer alan yazışmalar çalışmanın merkezine konulmuş, şehri ilgilendiren arşiv kayıtlarına ulaşılmış, ulaşılan yazışmaların tahlil ve tasnifi yapılmış, verilen kararlar çerçevesinde Nevşehir’in 1960’lı yılları ele alınmıştır. 1954 yılında Nevşehir’in il olması sonrası yoğunlaşan ve arşive geçen yazışmalar, 1960-1970 yılları arasında daha da artış göstermiştir. Arşivde, Nevşehir’de çeşitli makamlara yapılan tayin, atama ve terfiler, il siyasi sınırlarının tespitleri ile ilgili yazışma ve kararlar saptanmıştır. Buna ek olarak Nevşehir’in ekonomik kalkınmasını ilgilendiren belgeler de ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Yaşanan kuraklıktan dolayı çiftçi borçlarının ertelenmesi, Nevşehir’e kurulan tekstil fabrikasının açılma süreci ve bölge üzümünün ticari değerini arttırmak adına fikir aşamasında kalmış düşünceler arşiv kayıtlarında önemli bir yer tutmuştur. Cumhuriyet Arşivi içerisinde Nevşehir’deki bayındırlık faaliyetlerine, halkın isteklerine ve yaşanan afetlerden sonra yapılan yardımları ilgilendiren kararlara da ulaşılmıştır.

Social, economic and political issues related to Nevşehir were review in the Republic Archive between the years 1960-1970 in our work. Our main argument has been to reveal the improvements that took place throughout the province and reflected on the state authorities in the years covering our subject. The correspondences in the archive documents is put at the center of the study, the archive records concerning the city were reached, the correspondences reached has been analyzed and carried out the 1960’s of Nevşehir were discussed within the framework of the decisions made The correspondences that intensified after Nevşehir became a province in 1954, increased even more between 1960-1970. In the archive, correspondence and decisions regarding appointments and promotions to various offices in Nevsehir and also determination of the political borders of the province were detected. In addition, documents concerning the economic development of Nevşehir were revealed. Postponement of the farmer debts due to the drought experienced, the opening process of the textile factory established in Nevşehir and the ideas that remained at the stage of idea in order to increase the commercial value of the grape in the region have taken an important place in the archive records. Within the Republic Archives, the public works in Nevşehir, wishes of the people and the decisions concerning donations after the disasters were reached.
