Alternative energy resources and environment

Abstract

As a result of industrialization that has been going on for many years and accompanying energy consumption, the energy requirement needed is increasing every year. Since the use of fossil fuels is both a negative impact on the environment and a resource that can be consumed, the need for alternative energy sources is increasing. These alternative energy sources are especially; Solar energy, geothermal energy, wind energy and nuclear energy (popular in recent years). Sustainable environmental issues are also pushing countries to use alternative energy. Especially in the last years, the applications of alternative energy in our country are very promising.. In this study, a review study about the alternative energy sources used today, the effects on the environment and applications has been done.
