Öz yeterliliğin problem çözme becerisine etkisinde iletişim becerisinin aracı rolü: Turist rehberlerine yönelik bir araştırma

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, profesyonel turist rehberlerinin öz yeterlilik düzeylerinin problem çözme becerisine etkisinde iletişim becerilerinin aracı rolü olup olmadığını test etmektir. Literatürden elde edilen bilgiler doğrultusunda hipotezler geliştirilmiş ve bu temelde araştırma modeli oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmanın bağımsız değişkenini öz yeterlilik kavramı, aracı değişkenini iletişim becerisi, bağımlı değişkenini ise problem çözme becerisi oluşturmaktadır. Profesyonel turist rehberlerinin öz yeterliliklerini, iletişim becerilerini ve problem çözme becerilerini ölçmek için daha önce geliştirilen ölçekler kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini Aydın Rehberler Odasına bağlı profesyonel turist rehberleri oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırma kapsamında 300 profesyonel turist rehberi araştırmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Araştırmada olasılığa dayalı olmayan örnekleme yöntemlerinden kolayda örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analize uygunluğunu ölçmek amacıyla SPSS 23'ten faydalanılırken aracılık analizini gerçekleştirebilmek için SPSS Process kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda öz yeterliliğin problem çözme becerisinin (problem çözme becerisine güven, yaklaşma- kaçınma ve kişisel kontrol) boyutlarına etkisinde iletişim becerisinin aracılık rolünün olduğu görülmüştür.

The aim of this study is to test whether communication skills have a mediating role in the effect of professional tourist guides' self-efficacy levels on problem solving skills. Hypotheses were developed in line with the information obtained from the literature and a research model was created on this basis. The independent variable of the research is the concept of self-efficacy, the mediator variable is communication skill, and the dependent variable is problem solving skill. Previously developed scales were used to measure the self-efficacy, communication skills and problem solving skills of professional tourist guides. The universe of the research consists of professional tourist guides affiliated with Aydın Chamber of Guides. Within the scope of this research, 300 professional tourist guides were included in the study. The convenience sampling method, one of the non-probabilistic sampling methods, was used in the study. While SPSS 23 was used to measure the suitability of the data to analysis, the SPSS Process was used to perform the mediation analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that communication skill had a mediating role in the effects of self-efficacy on the dimensions of problem solving skill (confidence in problem solving skills, approach-avoidance and personal control).
