TRC3 bölgesi otellerinde çevre duyarlılığına yönelik bir araştırma

Abstract

Küresel ısınmanın etkisi ve kıt kaynakların gittikçe daha fazla tüketilmesi sürdürülebilirliğin gerçek anlamda ele alınmasını, kaynakların daha dikkatli kullanılarak gelecek kuşaklara aktarılmasını zorunlu kılmaktadır. Bu bağlamda, otel işletmeleri israfın olduğu ve kaynakların fazla tüketildiği alanlardır. Bu gerçeklik karşısında çalışmanın amacı TRC3 bölgesi otel işletmelerinde çevre uygulamalarının durumunu tespit etmek ve çeşitli değişkenlere göre farklılık olup olmadığını belirlemektir. Bu amaç kapsamında nicel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmış olup, verilerin elde edilmesi için anket tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma evreni tam sayımlama ile TRC3 bölgesindeki bütün otelleri kapsamaktadır. Elde edilen veriler, tanımlayıcı istatistikler ve varyans analizleri ile değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; otel işletmelerinde çevre politikalarına yönelik uygulamaların otellerin çoğunluğunda uygulandığı, en fazla uygulanan çevre politikalarının ise enerji tüketimi ve su tüketimine yönelik olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca otel işletmelerinin sınıfına ve illerine göre Mardin otellerinin çevreye daha duyarlı oldukları ve otel çalışma süresine göre çevreye duyarlılık konusunda bir farklılık olmadığı tespit edilerek işletmelere önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

The effect of global warming and the increasing consumption of scarce resources necessitate a real consideration of sustainability and the transfer of resources to future generations by using resources more carefully. In this context, hotel businesses are areas of waste and excessive consumption of resources. In the face of this reality, the purpose of our study is to determine the status of environmental practices in hotel establishments in the TRC3 region and to determine whether there are differences by various variables. For this purpose, quantitative research method was used, and the questionnaire technique was used to obtain data. The research population consists of all hotels in the TRC3 region with full counting. The data obtained were evaluated with descriptive statistics and analysis of variance. As a result of the research; It has been determined that environmental policies in hotel businesses are implemented in most of the hotels, while the most applied environmental policies are for energy consumption and water consumption. In addition, it has been determined that Mardin hotels are more sensitive to the environment according to the class and provinces of the hotel establishments and that there is no difference in terms of environmental sensitivity according to the duration of the hotel.
