Abstract

Elli yılı aşkın bir sanat hayatına sahip olan şair Seyfeddin Karahocagil hakkında herhangi bir monografik çalışma yapılmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Şairin Türk şiirinde yerini belirlemek, Türk şiirine katkısını ortaya koymak, şiir anlayışını çözümlemek ve şiir dünyasını bilim camiasına tanıtmak amacı ile bu çalışma ortaya konulmuştur. Seyfeddin Karahocagil'in hayatı, edebî hayatı ve eserleri çalışmanın konusudur. Şairin bizzat kendisi ile gerçekleştirilen yazılı röportaj sayesinde hayatı ve eserleri hakkında doğru ve kesin bilgilere ulaşılarak güvenilir bir biyografi oluşturulmuştur. Bu röportaj haricinde edebiyat biliminde şiir tahlilini konu edinen eserler ve şiir bilgisini işleyen farklı yazarlara ait akademik çalışmalardan istifade edilmiştir. Faydalanılan bu kaynaklar çalışmanın metodoloji kısmına büyük katkı sağlamıştır. Beş farklı aşama ile şekillenen bu çalışmanın ilk bölümü; Seyfeddin Karahocagil'in hayatı, edebî hayatı ve eserlerini kapsamaktadır. Şairin yayımlanmayan çok sayıda şiiri mevcuttur. Karahocagil, bu şiirlerin akıbetini çocuklarına ve torunlarına miras olarak bırakmıştır. Şairliği mensup olduğu toplumun, milletin ve hatta yaşadığı dünyanın dertlerini dile getiren sanatkâr olarak nitelendiren Seyfeddin Karahocagil, şiirlerinde topluma ve ben'e yönelir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümü olan şiirlerin tema incelemesi, yönelmiş olduğu ben ve toplum algısı etrafında şekillenmiştir. Çalışmanın üçüncü bölümünde şiirlerin yapısı, dördüncü bölümünde şairin sembol ve imge dünyası, beşinci ve son bölümde ise şairin dili kullanış biçimi ve üslubu incelenmiştir. Sanat hayatına 2020 yılında covid-19 isimli hastalığa yenik düşerek veda eden Seyfeddin Karahocagil, Türk edebiyatına şiir türünde çok yönlü bir kalem olarak varlık gösteren güçlü bir şair olarak imza atmıştır.

It has been determined that there is no monographic study about the poet Seyfeddin Karahocagil, who has an art life of more than fifty years. This study has been put forward in order to determine the poet's place in Turkish poetry, to reveal his contribution to Turkish poetry, to analyze his understanding of poetry and to introduce the world of poetry to the scientific community. Seyfeddin Karahocagil's life, literary life and works are the subject of the study. Thanks to the written interview with the poet himself, a reliable biography was created by obtaining accurate and precise information about his life and works. Apart from this interview, works that deal with the analysis of poetry in the science of literature and academic studies of different authors who deal with the knowledge of poetry have been utilized. These resources benefited greatly from the methodology part of the study. The first part of the thesis, which consists of five different parts; Seyfeddin Karahocagil's life consists of his literary life and its content. The poet has many unpublished poems. Karahocagil left the fate of these poems as a legacy. Seyfeddin Karahocagil, who describes his poetry as an artist who expresses the problems of the society, nation and even the world he lives in, turns to the society and the self in his poems. The theme analysis of the poems, which is the second part of the study, is shaped around the perception of self and society towards which it is directed. In the third part of the study, the structure of the poems, the poet's world of symbols and images in the fourth part, and the poet's use of language and style in the fifth and last part are examined. Saying goodbye to his art life in 2020 by succumbing to the disease named covid-19, Seyfeddin Karahocagil has signed his name as a powerful poet who has existed as a versatile pen in Turkish literature in the genre of poetry.
