Şule-i Edep dergisinin çeviri yazısı ve edebiyat ile ilgili metinlerin incelenmesi

Abstract

Şule-i Edep dergisi, on dokuzuncu yüzyılda edebiyatta yenileşme dönemi adıverilen Tanzimat edebiyatının sonlarına doğru 1897'de İzmir'de çıkan ilk edebiyat dergisidir. Derginin ilk sayısında Bir ifade adlı başlıklı yazıda İstanbul'da edebiyat ve fenle ilgili birçok dergi çıkmaktadır ve bu dergilere nazaran İzmir'de de böyle bir derginin çıkabileceği beyan edilmiştir. Derginin sahibi Tokadizâde Mehmet Şekîb, babası Mehmet Nuri Efendi'den ve dönemin en iyi hocalarından Arapça, Farsça dersleri almış kendisini çok iyi yetiştirmiş, Klasik Türk edebiyatın çizgisini devam ettiren bir yazardır. İzmir'de Şule-i Edep dergisinin çıkması edebiyat dünyasında geniş yankı uyandırmıştır. Şule-i Edep dergisi dönem olarak II. Abdülhamit dönemine rast gelmektedir. Derginin tüm sayılarının günümüz harflerine çevrilmesi, dergide yer alan edebî metinlerin tespit edilip sınıflandırılarak incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Çalışmanın sonucunda Türk edebiyatına çeviri yazı ve incelemede zenginlik kazandırılmış olacaktır. Aynı zamanda on dokuzuncu yüzyıl Türk edebiyatı hakkında bilgi elde edilecektir. Bu çalışma, üç bölüm ve bir sonuçtan oluşmuştur. Derginin giriş kısmında on dokuzuncu yüzyıldaki Osmanlı Devleti sınırlarında faaliyet gösteren süreli yayınlar tanıtılmıştır. Yine giriş kısmında çalışmanın konusu, önemi, amacı, yöntemi ve bölümleri hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Birinci bölümde, Şule-i Edep dergisi, şair ve yazar kadrosu, Şule-i Edep dergisi hakkında bilgiler ve basıldığı matbaaların isimleri verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde Şule-i Edep dergisinin edebiyatla ilgili metinler incelenmiş ve bu metinler yazar ve şairleri ile birlikte tablo şeklinde gösterilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde Şule-i Edep dergisinin çeviri yazısına yer verilmiştir. Sonuç bölümünde ise Şule-i Edep dergisi ve dönem hakkında inceleme ve tespitler sonucu genel birdeğerlendirme yapılmıştır. Şule-i Edep is the first literary magazine published in Izmir in 1897 towards the end of the Tanzimat literature, which was called the period of renewal in literature in the nineteenth century. In the first volume of the magazine, an article titled Bir İfade and many other magazines related to literature and science were been published in İstanbul and with regards to this magazine it was stated that such a magazine could have been published as well in Izmir. The owner of the magazine Tokadizâde Mehmet Şekîb, took lessons from his father Mehmet Nuri Efendi and also from the best teachers of the period and got himself improved in, Arabic and Persian language. He is the writer who continued the line of classical Turkish literature. The emergence of the magazine Şule-i Edep in İzmir had a great impact in the world of literature. The period of Şule-i Edep magazine was during the reign of Abdulhamid the II. The aim of this study is to translate all the volumes of the journal into today's letters, to determine and classify the literary texts in the magazine. The result of the study will enrich Turkish literature intranslationand research. At the same time, information about the nineteenth century Turkish literature will be obtained. This study consisted of three parts and a conclusion. At the introduction part of the magazine, periodical publishing activities carried out within the territories of the Ottoman Empire in the nineteenth century is introduced. Again, information about the topic of the study, its importance, aim, method and the chapters are given in the introduction. In the first chapter, information about the magazine Şule-i Edep, the list of poets and writers, the names of the printing houses where it was published is given. In the second chapter, the texts related to the literature of Şule-i Edep magazine were examined and these texts were shown together with the authors and poets in a table form. In the third chapter, the transcription of Şule-i Edep magazine is given. And in the conclusion section, a general evaluation was made from the result of the reviews and findings about Şule-i Edep magazine and the period it was published.
